As the seasons change, we need to adjust our skincare routine. We need to pay attention to the fluctuating temperatures, humidity levels, and sun exposure that affect how our skin looks and feels.
Sooo... does this mean you have to overhaul our skincare routine EVERY season?
Nope! (I know, right? Thank goodness!)
The condition of your skin changes with each season and while you don’t need an entire beauty routine makeover, there are some useful tweaks that you can add to your daily skincare depending on the time of year.
Because we're in this season (thank god we made it!) I'm going to talk primarily about a solid summer skincare routine! Here are the three areas I would focus on this summer:
1. CLEANSING SKIN EVERY NIGHT:
It's crucial to remove the dirt and grime off of your skin every night to keep your skin glowing and young. The grime from being outside can clog your pores and eventually cause pimples and acne. Wash your face! I'd recommend either my Pura Organics Rejuvenating Cleanser or if you're looking for something that's a bit more simple go with just the simple old Witch Hazel and a wash cloth.
2. EXFOLIATE. EXFOLIATE. EXFOLIATE:
Exfoliation is essential to removing the layer of dead skin, which won't let allow your skin to glow.
3. USE SPF EVERYDAY:
I tell everyone to use SPF everyday, in sunshine and rain. Here at Pura Organics we're big on helping prevent the signs of aging in your 20s and 30s, rather than fix the wrinkles once they appear. I've found that it's much easier and affordable to prevent a wrinkle and any other sign of aging, instead of trying to fix it later in life. That being said, you need to make sure to use SPF every single day. Sun can really hurt and damage skin and cause aging, if you start using SPF while you're in your 20s, it's a great way to start preventing aging.
